From left to right; Juneau, Renee, and Dakota on Blood Mountain, GA.
Bio – Renee was born in Wilmington, DE but really grew up north of Seattle in Everett, WA. It was here that she began her love of the outdoors participating in rowing and taking up snowboarding. Her college education took her to Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, where she studied art and majored in Film and Video. After college she helped her family open a retail franchise called Wild Birds Unlimited which she still manages today in Dawsonville, GA. She has traded in her snowboard however for whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, wake boarding, climbing, and backpacking.
A Note from the Author: The older I get, the more excited I am about travel. Some people want to build big houses, and buy expensive cars but I’m just as happy collecting experiences. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy coming home and hiking with my dogs in some local familiar woods, or working in my garden (home grown tomatoes taste so good!), but what I really crave are new connections, cultures, landscapes and experiences. For everything I check off my bucket list, 15 more seem to be added. You can learn so much about yourself and the world by getting outside of your comfort zone, and traveling.
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.” – Saint Augustine
